Established in 2001, McLellan Engineering, Inc. is an owner-operated State Certified Professional Engineering Firm that specializes in designing, engineering, fabricating, testing, and sourcing new products for mass production.

We are a small family-owned firm with a combined 40 years of experience. We're focused on growing your business, not ours. Our emphasis is on maximizing the profit you will make selling your product and minimizing what it is going to take to start making it.

We take a realistic approach to product development. We work exclusively with inventors-entrepreneurs.  Our clients are not big corporations.

Located in Austin, Texas, we work with clients worldwide who are developing new products, prototypes, and inventions. Our services range from professional engineering to manufacturing consulting.

We are optimized for utility patents. We believe engineering is the key to creating quality, reliable products. Our engineer has been designing new products since 1991. We will make it work first and then build a look around it. We will not charge you for hand sketches and industrial design at the start of a project.

Your engineer will be an engineer. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an engineering license. He has worked for large companies, including DELL and Motorolla, and Start-Up incubators like the Alberta Research Council. He holds patents with this company as well as Dell and Motorola.

We do it all in-house. Design, Engineering, coding, CAD, prototype fabrication, and assembly.  We can make radical changes for a fraction of the cost of other invention companies. You don't need to worry about overseas companies seeing your product before you do. A year from now, you don't have to track down a fly-by-night designer who can no longer access files on their previous employer's computer.

Because we are small, we are very good at keeping a secret. We work in small teams consisting of owners and you. In most cases, only two people on earth will know your product. Alternatively, outsourcing typically involves multiple bids and could result in hundreds knowing what you are making.

The more complex your invention, the more you benefit from our small company approach. Large invention companies are heavy on sales, marketing, and industrial design and light on engineering. With us, you could be holding your first working prototype instead of looking at an industrial design rendering for the same money.
